Annie Works to Decrease Violence and Increase Solutions Today, March 5, 2008 - the Arizona State House of Representatives Education (K-12) Committee, by a vote of 5 to 4, passed the HCM2006 bill urging the United States Congress to enact the Department of Peace and Nonviolence. Annie joined Terri Mansfield, Joyce Buekers and Lyle Skillen and spoke to the committee in favor of the bill before the vote was taken. The proposed Cabinet level U.S. Department of Peace will research, articulate, and facilitate nonviolent solutions to domestic and international conflicts . . . as we all connect to create a caring and profitable culture of peace.
The bill will now go to the Rules Committee.
